So You Think You Can Dance Canada
Its time for Canada to get its very own version of the Dance Show alot of people have been talking about. Mixed views have been surrounding the auditions and its selection process. May they be good or bad, here’s a sneak peek at what alot of people are going to be talking about this season. All I hope is that they actually showcase street dancing in its rightfull light and that an actual street dancer takes it home!

After Jabba, its time for Kaba to make it down to Montreal and entertain us. All of this will take place on August 31st at Tonic Nightclub. Tickets 30$ in advance. Here’s the lowdown on the crew:
Kaba Modern is a street dance group from Orange Country, California. The group was established by Filipino dancers at the University of California, Irvine in 1992. Kaba is actually a shortened term for Kababayan, a Filipino word which means compatriot. After the group’s performance during a college cultural night, they immediately became a recognized name in the field of dancing and have also moved on to perform around Bay Area and San Diego.
A 6-person segment of their team auditioned for, and succeeded in, the right to compete as one of 12 dance crews in the first season of Randy Jackson’s interactive reality show, America’s Best Dance Crew broadcast on MTV in early 2008. In a twist of irony, none of the Kaba members on America’s Best Dance Crew were Filipino, since two Filipino Kaba Modern members who were originally going had to leave the show due to being the Kaba Modern 2008 coordinators. They where in the top 3 contestants in the first season of ABDC
